Nada just unveiled the Ear and Ear(a), the company's latest TWS headphones, at its Japan Community Update event. The Ear is the successor to last year's Nothing Ear (2) with new 11mm drivers with an improved stack design, improving the Nothing Ear's vibration amplitude by 110% and delivering better bass.

This one also offers a new ceramic diaphragm, has two vents for improved airflow to reduce distortion and an improved microphone design for easy wind flow, and an improved voice algorithm that promises a 60% reduction of the interferences compared to the Ear (2). This also adds LDAC codec in addition to LHDC.

The Ear also has a 25% improved battery life, promising a total battery life of 40.5 with the case and up to 8.5 hours of standalone playback without ANC. It promises up to 10 hours of battery life with 10 minutes of charging.

The Nothing Ear (a) has a new design, new yellow color, 11mm drivers, LDAC, 45dB ANC, but uses PMI + TPU diaphragm and lacks LHDC support. It promises up to 42.5 hours of total battery life with the case and up to 9.5 hours on its own, the highest until the Nothing TWS earphones. This one doesn't have wireless charging, but offers 10 hours of battery life with 10 minutes of charging.

The headphones also feature ChatGPT which can be configured via the Nothing X app. This provides ChatGPT voice access to the Ear and Ear(a) when connected to the phone. This feature will be available soon for Ear (1), Ear (2) and Ear (stick) as well as CMF audio products with an update in June.
