Following the developments, motorola has confirmed the launch of the g64 5G, successor to last year's g54 5G, in India on April 16.

The g64 5G will retain the 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display, 50MP rear camera with OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 6000mAh battery with support for 33 W turbo charging. Features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC for the first time. This is an overclocked version of the 7020 that powered the g54 5G. This will come with support for 14 5G bands.

The phone will come in 12GB / 8GB RAM options with up to 12GB RAM expansion and 128GB and 256GB storage options, will run Android 14 with a secure update to Android 15 and will have 3 years of security updates. It will come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and will be IP52 rated for dust and splash resistance.

The image reveals a familiar PMMA back, and the company says it will weigh 192g and be 8.89mm thick, again similar to the g54.

Moto g64 5G will be sold on Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores after launch. The g54 5G was launched at Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs. 18,999 for 12GB + 256GB models. We can expect the g64 to be priced similarly.
