The Benazir Kafalat Program, sometimes referred to as the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) by the Pakistani government, is a program that distributes cash without conditions. Under the programme, stipends of PKR 8500/PKR 9000 are awarded to women and trans people living in extreme poverty in all districts of Pakistan every three months.
People who are not eligible for the program
The Benazir Kafalat program is not suitable for the following people:
- Individuals who file returns and pay taxes.
- Owners of autonomous vehicles.
- People employed by the government and its affiliates.
- People with previous experience in traveling abroad.

Distribution of money
The money is disbursed through biometric authentication at ATMs, camps approved by partner banks across the country and specifically selected retail stores. The program's partner bank, Bank Alfalah, accepts payments from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. However, Habib Bank serves as the official financial institution for Punjab, Islamabad, Sindh and Balochistan.
Online registration
The Benazir Income Support Scheme has also introduced online registration for the Kafalat scheme. Beware of fraud
Only 8171 can send and receive messages under the Benazir Kafalat Program. Any communication about the National Socioeconomic Registry Survey (NSER) or disbursement of money that you receive from an unidentified caller is false. Refrain from replying to them or giving them personal information like your name, address, CNIC number or bank account details. If you receive any of these messages, you can report them to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) by calling 0800-55055. Also, there is no fee for completing the survey.
