Nothing launched the Nothing Phone (2) in March 2024 in the Indian market. The Nothing Phone (2a) runs Nothing OS 2.5 out of the box, which is based on Android 14.

The company also promised three Android version updates and four years of (bi-monthly) security patch updates for the phone (21), just like the phone (1) and the phone (2).

Nothing has released Nothing OS 2.5.5 update which weighs about 91 MB in size, which brings camera improvements, general improvements and bug fixes. The update also brings an April 2024 security patch.

● Fixed the issue where the Pedometer widget would reset after switching time zones.
● Resolved the issue where app icons would not display on the home screen after swiping up to unlock in specific scenarios.
● Resolved the occasional issue where the fingerprint unlock would not respond when the screen is off.
●  Resolved the occasional black screen issue on the lock screen interface.
● Optimised the overall stability of the system.

The update is being rolled out gradually and should be available to everyone in the next few days.
