To help thousands of homeless people, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme. He stated that one lakh houses will be constructed under this scheme, benefiting one lakh homeless and forced families in Punjab. Building 3000 houses in each district

Maryam Nawaz has given approval for the construction of 3000 model houses in each of the tehsils of Punjab in less than six weeks. To ensure that people do not face difficulties in acquiring a home of their own, he suggested that the fees and monthly payments of model houses be minimized. The Chief Minister further advised the authorities to prioritize the use of sustainable construction materials and high quality construction materials while constructing model houses.
