SK hynix introduces AI-optimized ZUFS 4.0 in the device

SK hynix has developed a new mobile storage solution called Zoned UFS (ZUFS) 4.0 specifically designed to improve the performance of on-device AI applications in smartphones and other mobile devices.

What is ZUFS 4.0?

ZUFS 4.0 is a type of NAND flash storage which optimizes data management for AI on the device. It achieves this by classifying and storing smartphone data according to its characteristics in designated areas within the storage device.

This targeted storage approach, unlike conventional UFS, improves the speed and efficiency of data access for the smartphone operating system and artificial intelligence applications.
