Xiaomi is working on a new budget smartphone called the Redmi 13 5G. Recent leaks from Android headlines have revealed some of its specifications.

Redmi 13 5G specifications

The Redmi 13 5G is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (SM4450), the same processor as the Redmi 12 5G. Internally, it is known as “breeze” with the model number “N19”, while the Redmi 12 5G had “M19”.

The leaked model numbers, including 2406ERN9CI, 2406ERN9CC and 24066PC95I, indicate the markets where the phone will be sold.

Model numbers provide information about target markets. For example, “RN” indicates the Redmi brand, while “PC” indicates the POCO brand. For example, “2406ERN9CI” is for the Indian version and “2406ERN9CC” is for the Chinese version.

Renamed POCO M7 Pro 5G

A model number, “24066PC95I”, suggests that the Redmi 13 5G will be sold under the POCO brand in India, possibly called the POCO M7 Pro 5G, following the pattern of previous models.

The report indicated that the device has reached its final internal version, OS1.0.1.0.UNWCNXM, suggesting that it might come pre-installed with Android 14-based HyperOS.

The Redmi 13 5G is expected to resemble its predecessor, the Redmi 12 5G, with minor alterations, prioritizing affordability. However, the report warned that the POCO brand is not officially confirmed and the device may have a different name.

The device is likely to debut in China before hitting the Indian market later this year. However, it may not be available worldwide.
