POCO F6 Pro with 6.67″ 2K 120Hz AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Up to 16GB RAM, 5000mAh Battery Announced

POCO today launched its latest smartphone, the POCO F6 5G, in India. Additionally, the company has also revealed a 'Pro' version of the device for the global markets.

The POCO F6 Pro boasts a sleek design with thin bezels, a metal frame and a quad-curved glass back with a soft velvet touch. Its 6.67-inch WQHD+ Flow AMOLED dot display offers a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The screen achieves peak brightness levels of up to 4000 nits, supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 2160 Hz instant touch sampling rate and 68.7 billion 12-bit colors and is TÜV certified. In addition, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor that works as a heart rate monitor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the device, along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To manage heat efficiently, the phone incorporates LiquidCool 4.0 technology with an IceLoop system, which ensures sustained performance, and has a large cooling area of ​​5000mm².

It also features WildBoost Optimization 3.0 to improve performance. The device offers various AI-based experiences, including AI expansion, album, subtitles, Magic Erase Pro, and AI portrait functions.

In terms of photography, the POCO F6 Pro features a 50MP (1/1.55″) main camera with Light Fusion 800 image sensor technology and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there's a 16MP camera equipped with RAW domain algorithms to capture detailed selfies.

Powering the device is a sizable 5000mAh battery with support for 120W HyperCharge, which claims a full charge in just 19 minutes. The phone also includes POCO Surge P2 charging chipset and Surge G1 battery chipset to optimize charging and battery management.

Additional features include a dual-wing antenna design for better signal reception, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, high-resolution audio (including wireless), an X-axis linear vibration motor, and AI Face Unlock . Connectivity options include Dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, IR Blaster and GNSS positioning. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS.
