motorola is gearing up for its next line of foldable smartphones, including the motorola razr 50 and razr 50 ultra. Thanks to @evleaks, detailed renders of the foldables along with key specs have surfaced online.

The motorola razr 50, the entry-level model of the line, gets a major upgrade in terms of design. Unlike its predecessor, the razr 40, which only had a 1.5″ outer screen, this one has a large 3.63″ pOLED display. The display bezels are symmetrical, have curved edges around the body and should have a leather finish on the back, which gives a quality look and finish.

It is said to feature a large 6.9″ pOLED when unfolded with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a dual rear camera integrated into the screen, with a 50MP main camera and a 13MP secondary lens. There will be a 13 MP front camera inside a central hole.

The razr 50, which could also be called the moto razr 2024 in the US, should be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300X 5G SoC, Android 14 OS, with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 4200mAh battery, and weigh just 188 g.

It is expected to be priced at EUR 899 (USD 979 / Rs. 81,591 approx.)

The motorola razr 50 Ultra, on the other hand, features a similar design to the razr 50, but has a slightly larger 4″ pOLED exterior display. It should come in green, peach and blue colors with a leather finish and curved edges on the corners.

It will feature a 6.9″ indoor display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels, the same as the razr 50, but with a higher refresh rate of 165 Hz. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, it will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will have a dual camera setup with a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens, along with a 32MP front-facing camera.

The device will feature a 4000mAh battery, USB-C cable charging, wireless charging, eSIM support, IPX8 water resistance, fingerprint reader, and facial recognition. It will run on Android 14 with Hello UI, which features AI photo/video capture and editing tools.

In terms of pricing, the razr 50 Ultra (razr+ 2024) is expected to be available in the US. the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

Both smartphones are expected to launch in June globally.
