Good news: 60% Riayat on agricultural machinery for farmers

Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced an important initiative aimed at supporting agriculture in Punjab. Specifically, 21 districts of Punjab are offering discounts of up to 60% on agricultural machinery, with a special emphasis on assisting poor farmers. These districts have been carefully selected as the most affected areas. The districts include Gujranwala, Gujarat, Okara, Lahore, Khanewal, Sialkot, Chinyut, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahab, Sahiwal, Multan, Narowal, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Qasoor, Jhang, Pak Patan, Wehari, Lodhran, Mandi Bahaudkdin and . This initiative is expected to provide significant support to farmers in these regions, helping to increase agricultural productivity and improve livelihoods.

To receive a 60% discount on purchases of agricultural machinery, register on the official government website and download the application form. Fill the form with correct information including your name, affiliation, identity card, Kisan card number, phone number, address and farming area. Attach two passport-sized photographs and a photocopy of your ID. Submit the form to your district allocation committee chairman after providing an affidavit.

To apply for the award of agricultural machinery, applicants must submit an affidavit attesting to the ownership of a personal tractor for agricultural use, the commitment to use machinery instead of burning rice waste and the performance of agricultural activities in the same center. The agricultural implements provided will be leased to needy farmers for four years. Favorable prices of schemes of other districts will not be applicable.

Purchased machinery cannot be sold for four years and the recipient is responsible for repair and maintenance, including mandatory training. The decision of the chairman of the alignment committee on the award is final. For the realization of the project, collaboration with the attached Agricultural Engineer is necessary. Violation of the terms may result in appropriate action, including cancellation of the assignment if the machinery and equipment cannot be reserved on the scheduled date.

Farmers in Punjab will get 5,000 super drills and 2,000 rice threshers under a scheme. Mrs Nawaz Sharif urges farmers to register before May 7 as applications received after this date will be cancelled.
