Samsung launched the Galaxy M55 5G in India today. The phone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, large FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 5000mAh battery. We got to see the smartphone, here are our first impressions.

The M55 5G has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright even outdoors as it has a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits. The phone has HDR support and has Dragontrail glass for protection.

The Galaxy M55 5G is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It has support for multiple 5G bands.

The phone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 on top. Samsung has promised 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates for the phone. It also has NFC and Knox security.

Inside the small hole is a 50-megapixel camera with 4K video recording. The earpiece grill is on the top edge which also doubles as a secondary speaker. There is a small chin under the screen.

Coming to the button placement, the power button and volume rockers are present on the right side. The hybrid SIM slot is present on the left. The main microphone, USB Type-C port and speaker grille are at the bottom. The secondary microphone is at the top. The phone has a plastic frame with a matte finish.

The M55 has triple rear cameras without the camera bar that matches other Samsung phones. It has a 50MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Both the front and rear cameras support up to 4K recording at 30 fps. Check out some camera samples below.

Compared to the glass back of the A55, the M55 has a plastic back with a matte finish that doesn't attract fingerprints. The phone also comes in Denim Black color. Although it has a large 5000 mAh battery, the phone weighs 180 grams. It has support for 45W fast charging for the first time.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G starts at Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. As a launch offer, the phone will be available at an all-inclusive price of Rs. 24,999 with bank discount. It is now available from and at select retail stores.
