OPPO has just announced the K12x, the company's latest K-series smartphone, in China as the successor to last year's K11x. It has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an upgrade from the predecessor's LCD display, while retaining the Snapdragon 695 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM.

It runs Android 14 out of the box, with ColorOS 14 on top. The phone comes with a 50MP rear camera along with a 2MP portrait camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and packs a 5500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

Prices and availability

The OPPO K12x comes in green and gray colors and is priced at 1299 Yuan (US$179 / Rs.14,985 approx.) for the 8GB + 256GB model, 1499 Yuan (US$207 / Rs.17,295 approx.) for the 12 GB + 12 256 GB and the high-end 12 GB + 512 GB model costs 1799 yuan (248 USD / 20,755 rupees approx.).

It is now available to order and will go on sale in China from May 20.

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite?

Last year, the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite was launched as the OPPO K11x in China, but this time the K12x was launched before the CE Lite series phone, so it could be launched as the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite for global markets, including India.
