MediaTek confirmed the launch of the Dimensity 9300+ as the successor to the Dimensity 9300 in China at the MediaTek Dimensity Developer Conference (MDDC) 2024 on May 7.

At the event, the company will reveal its AI strategy and vision, generative AI application ecosystem, gaming experience and more.

According to previous reports, the SoC will include 1 ARM Cortex-X4 performance core at 3.4 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-X4 performance cores at a slower rate of 2.85 GHz, and 4 Cortex-A720 efficiency cores at 2, 0 GHz. This reveals a minor increase in clock speed from 3.25 GHz to 3.4 GHz.

The Geekbench leak revealed, 2229 single-core and multi-core scores of 7526. According to reports, the chip will power the vivo X100S smartphone that will be launched in China in May. The phone is said to have a 6.78-inch straight LTPO 1.5K 8T OLED display, flat metal frame, glass back and 120W fast charging.

vivo X90s, vivo S18 Pro, iQOO Neo8 Pro and Redmi K60 Ultra were among the few devices powered by the Dimensity 9200+ SoC last year.

We should hear details about other devices powered by the chip when it goes official next week.
