Lava is entering a new category of smart wearables under the Prowatch by Lava brand. The company has started rolling out its first smartwatch, which will launch on April 23, 2024.

Lava cites the latest CMR survey report, which highlighted a worrying trend in the smart wearables market, with 72% of users expressing dissatisfaction. This dissatisfaction is attributed to the use of poor quality chipsets and materials. The brand claims to solve this problem by bringing good quality products at affordable prices.

The brand also aims to focus on offering smartwatches with accurate readings of health metrics, along with robust data protection measures, to deliver a superior user experience.

The company's first Prowatch will feature a circular dial design with a rotating crown and push button. Adding importance to quality, the company promotes the use of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the watch. There should be silicone and leather strap options for users to choose from.

We can expect features like an AMOLED display, various sports modes, Bluetooth calling, heart rate and SpO2 tracking, as seen with other smartwatches.

Lava also created a separate X and Instagram page called ProZone to promote (ProZone_In) its smart accessories category.
