Amazon has launched a new Fire TV Stick 4K in India, after it was unveiled last year. This brings Wi-Fi 6 support and an improved 1.7GHz quad-core processor, making it almost 30% more powerful than the previous version. This also gets 2GB of RAM, up from 1.5GB in the older model.

It offers 4K Ultra HD picture quality, Dolby Atmos audio and support for Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG and HDR10+. As usual, it comes with Alexa Voice Remote.

Amazon said it has reduced the carbon footprint of Fire TV Stick devices year after year, by using more sustainable materials and implementing designs that reduce their energy consumption throughout their useful life.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K also includes Low Power Mode, which conserves power when a device goes into sleep or standby mode due to inactivity.

Prices and availability

The all-new Fire TV Stick 4K is now available amazon.enas well as other online and offline stores such as Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.

Commenting on the launch, Anish Unnikrishnan, Managing Director, Amazon Devices India, said:

Our viewers' preference is changing to watch realistic and ultra-cinematic video content from the comfort of their homes. Customers are looking for streaming options that offer fast performance, superior picture and audio quality, smart features, immersive graphics for gaming and more. With our most powerful Fire TV Stick 4K, customers will be able to enjoy advanced, high-performance streaming at home.
